What people are saying about us:

Thank you for recommending Tailsup, they took amazing care of my little guys. Every time I called to check on them, they kept telling me how awesome Ray and Mariah are and how much they were enjoying taking care of them. They are very tired today because they played a lot there."

Marcie
"Hi! Just wanted to say thanks again for taking such good care of Maggie the Schnauzer! Your quick response to my observation call from far away was very much appreciated. She came home in great shape..no illness of any kind! So thanks for keeping such a clean, caring facility! Your staff is great and we will be back!!! I'm doing my part by spreading the word about Tails Up and the great facility and caring people."

Fondly, Sara and Mike
"Marlee has been to Tails Up twice for day care, to prepare her for the 3 nights that we have to be away. They are wonderful and I am confident she will have, not only good care while we must be away, but also lots of fun. Thanks for the recommendation... Again, thanks for the tip about Tails Up. Their program is much more reasonable than all day play. I think they have great potential to be a huge success."

Wendy
"LOVE the pics!! So fun to see they were having fun while we were away. I have to tell you that your kennel is the best! I have never used a kennel until Tails Up. You have such a unique place and we felt so good leaving them with you. Thank you so much for loving them and caring for them like we do."

Paula
"THANK YOU! The boys and I felt very confident that he'd be well taken care of and that you wouldn't give up on him during his adjustment period (wailing and all). You made our trip much more enjoyable knowing that he was in a loving, caring environment. We thank you so very much. We will definitely use your services again and may be in contact for some training needs."

Thanks again, Julie
"To Everyone at Tails Up, we wish to thank everyone at Tails Up for the positive, professional, loving, caring, happy and bright care of our two munchkin (fresh from Florida "I don't do winter") miniature dachshunds Molly and Maxie. This was their first time at doggie daycare ever, and certainly the first long time (8 days). We appreciate the patience with us and them, the reports, and the wonderful care they received. We will be back and we would recommend the Pet hotel and daycare to anyone needing them."

Beata and John
"You have no idea how much this blesses me! I love that you sent pictures! Totally completes the great experience we had with Tails Up from the beginning, now to the end! We most definitely will bring him back next time we're on vacation. In fact, I recently had to get Lincoln groomed at a local doggie day care that does grooming. Your facility & quality of care blows them out of the water! Seriously! I couldn't believe how high your standards were, once I had seen someone else! Thanks again & we will be back! Lincoln says hi!"

Danielle
"I just wanted to let you and your staff know that Missy and Red seem to enjoy visiting you guys. It is always comforting to know they are safe when we are gone all day or over the weekend. It is always one less thing we have to worry about. Before you guys came into town Red went elsewhere. He was over stimulated and appeared to not have a relaxing time. Thank you for everything."

Overnight Boarding

Each guest has his or her own private indoor room with a raised bed and bedding. Fresh water is available at all times. Meals are served up to three times per day per your specifications. Every guest enjoys at least four trips outside per day with an established routine to help maintain housetraining habits and help minimize stress. In between play groups, each guest returns to their room for naptime. A complimentary bath is offered to all guests boarding with us for more than five nights.

The Gang

Daycare

Tails Up's enriched daycare program is intentionally very different than what you will find in other facilities. Our mission is to support and enhance social skills and provide a stimulating but safe environment that meets the behavioral and physical needs of individual dogs. We offer structured activities that are well managed and supervised by interactive trained staff. Our goal is to send dogs home relaxed and feeling good, not drained and depleted from an overwhelming day. Our playgroups are small in size and personalized to your dog's personality and activity level.

Daycare is available seven days a week. Whether your dog needs daycare just a few days a year, or several days a week, Tails Up daycare is the answer.

Cat Play Area

Cats

Our feline friends enjoy their own private space within Tails Up. The cattery offers luxury accommodations where each cat has their own with multi-level cat condo. Sounds of nature soothe their souls as they nap the day away (as we know cats love to do). Families with multiple cats can be boarded in adjoining rooms with portholes to move between rooms for visiting.

Special Sessions

While the basic inclusions will satisfy most guest needs for human love and activity, your pet may benefit from a few extra options- it's completely up to you! Each customized 15-minute session includes a write up from the staff member to let you know what your pet enjoyed during their session:

Tug o' War

Cuddle Time - exactly like it sounds- perfect for the pet that needs all the human attention it can get, including treats, back scratches and snuggles.

Massage - utilizing Tellington T-Touch techniques, this is relaxation therapy for stressed or nervous dogs.

Extra Playtime - perfect for dogs that love to chase tennis balls or have extra energy to burn.

Basic Obedience or tricks training - help your pup keep their perfect manners with some positive reinforcement based training on the basics like sit, stay, come, loose leash walking or polite greetings. For the more advanced student, we can introduce tricks into their repertoire!

Cuddle time, massage, and extra playtime sessions are $10 per session. Training sessions are $15 each.

A Tails Up Day

The day begins at 6 a.m. with individual potty walks outside before breakfast is served in each guest's private room ala room service. Daycare dogs start checking in at 7 a.m. Once everyone has arrived and had a chance to digest breakfast, morning playgroups begin at 9 a.m.

Using what we've learned form our initial consultation, each guest is assigned a playgroup based upon age, size and activity level. The groups are small and supervised to encourage positive social interaction. Playgroups last one hour (groups may be lengthened or shortened depending upon occupancy and weather conditions).

Guests return inside to have lunch or relax. Around 1 pm, playgroups resume again and everyone returns outside for another hour-long playgroup. If you have treated your dog to any extra sessions, they will enjoy these in the afternoon too.

In the early evening, daycare dogs say goodbye for the day while overnight guests enjoy dinner and room service. Finally, the day wraps up with one more trip to the play yard to take care of any business and one last romp before bedtime at 8 p.m. A staff member stays on duty between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to make sure everyone has a restful night's sleep.
